Driving Directions to Weatherby's

As most folks coming to visit us are coming from somewhere to the south, we have not gone to the trouble of offering directions from any place other than "south." In Maine, we are fortunate to only have one real highway so our directions are quite simple. If you happen to be looking for directions from anywhere along coastal Maine or points north, please give us a call and we can share a few secrets.

Estimated driving time from Boston is about 6 hours, Portland is about 4 hours and Bangor is about 2 hours to camp.

From I-95/Maine Turnpike

  1. Just South of Bangor, Take I-395 to Route 1 A South
  2. Route 1 A South to Route 46 North in Holden
  3. Route 46 North to Route 9 in Eddington
  4. Route 9 East to Route 1 North
  5. Route 1 North to Princeton
  6. 2-3 miles past Princeton, turn left on the Grand Lake Stream Road
  7. 12 miles to camp on right, before you cross Grand Lake Stream

Alternative Route

  1. Continue on I-95 past Bangor, exit in Lincoln
  2. Take Route 6 East to Route 1 in Topsfield
  3. Take Route 1 South (about 15 minutes)
  4. At sign, turn right on the Grand Lake Stream Road
  5. 12 miles to camp on right, before you cross Grand Lake Stream

From Bangor International Airport

  1. Exit airport on Griffin Road.
  2. Turn right on Route 222, Union Street.
  3. Travel approximately 1.5 miles to Route 95 North
  4. From here follow Alernative route directions to Route 6.

For those of you out there with GPS navigation systems in your vehicle or for Map Quest directions, our latitude and longitude coordinates are N 45 10 46, W 67 46 28. DO NOT TAKE ANY GRAVEL ROADS FROM ROUTE 9 UNLESS LOOKING FOR AN ADVENTURE.
